The deadline for the Open Grant Cycle is March 15th, 5:00 pm annually. Open grant applications will no longer be accepted in the fall. These grants are available to agencies working within southwest Missouri and communities of IDF, IsoNova and FITCO operations (as detailed below). Grants are made for one year only and typically range from $1,000 to $20,000.
The Darr Family Foundation considers grant applications from nonprofit agencies providing services that meet the foundation’s mission of “empowering at-risk youth to overcome barriers to opportunity” and operate in these geographical areas:
- Thirteen counties in Southwest Missouri: Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Jasper, Lawrence, McDonald, Newton, Polk, Stone, Taney, Webster.
- Other communities that host operating facilities for FITCO and IsoNova, including: Anniston, AL (Calhoun and Talladega counties); Cumming, GA (Forsyth County); Forest, MS (Scott County); Hanceville, AL (Cullman County); Lillington, NC (Harnett County); Spencer, IA (Clay County); Social Circle, GA (Walton and Newton counties); and Texarkana, TX (Bowie county).
Foundation grants are not awarded to the following: for-profit organizations; projects outside the Foundation’s mission; capital campaigns, organizations whose policies or practices discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation; political campaigns; or funding for loan payments. Other exclusions may apply at the discretion of the Foundation.
If your nonprofit organization meets these characteristics, we invite you to apply through the Open Grant Cycle at the Darr Family Foundation. The deadline is March 15th annually. Click here to apply.
