The deadline for the Open Grant Cycle is March 15th and September 15th, 5:00 pm annually. These grants are available to agencies working within southwest Missouri as detailed below. Grants are made for one year only and typically range from $1,000 to $20,000.

The Darr Family Foundation considers grant applications from nonprofit agencies providing services that meet the foundation’s mission of “empowering at-risk youth to overcome barriers to opportunity” and operate in these geographical areas:
- Ten counties in Southwest Missouri: Barry, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Greene, Lawrence, Polk, Stone, Taney, and Webster.
Foundation grants are not awarded to the following: for-profit organizations; projects outside the Foundation’s mission; organizations whose policies or practices discriminate on the basis of gender, race, religion, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation; political campaigns; or funding for loan payments. Other exclusions may apply at the discretion of the Foundation.
